Birmingham School of Acting

This week I have been implementing some emergency changes to the BSA's website to bypass broken vital parts of the site such as the application forms. Because a replacement site is on the short-to-medium term horizon the changes are a bit of a kludge it is to be admitted and mix flat file HTML with existing CMS code.

It is a bit of a challenge mixing 2 technologies like this, especially without access to the source code, admin or design characteristics of the CMS. (It is a bit like being a forensic scientist, trying to find out whats happening from disparate and incomplete pieces of information. I am Web C.S.I. then!) Ideally you do not want people to notice that parts of the site have been replaced, though it will be unavoidable with the BSA site for example the flat file HTML parts use a Google Search as it was not feasible to use the CMS search engine.
