Alas goodbye Google Browser Sync

Firefox 3.0 is reasonable, as yet i see few advantages over 2.0, but one big disadvantage is that Google Browser Sync will not work with it. GBS was a wonderful and elegant tool that allowed you to keep your bookmarks synchronised between different computers, unfortunately Google are ending development of it and will not support it in FF 3.0. They suggest some alternatives which i have been trying, Mozilla Weave for example. Unfortunately i couldn't even log in with the account i created (difficult stuff i know) so i don't know how good it is for anything else. Similarly Foxmarks didn't seem to want me to log in once i had created an account. So farewell GBS then, its been made open source by Google so perhaps some enterprising soul will update it to work with FF 3.0 one day... Though if anyone knows of a bookmark synchroniser that does work please let me know! I am looking here though...

Though to be honest i am thinking about downgrading so i can still use GBS. Another thing i don't like about 3.0 is when you drag and drop an image from a webpage to the desktop. Now a transparent copy of the image is shown when you drag it. Pointless eyecandy that makes it much harder to see where you are putting the image. Its progress you see.

Update : trying Foxmarks again, seems to let me login this time so here is hoping.
