- As blogged separately i created the university's Knol article, Knol being the new Google "expert" written competitor (in a way) to Wikipedia. I couldn't find any other UK universities on Knol so we probably are the first to do this.
- We haven't forgotten Wikipedia though, i added the Geohack co-ordinates to the BCU article. If you click these co-ordinates then you are presented with a large selection of links to various mapping sites and also Flickr too.
- For every Web 2.0 site you "buy in to" there are probably a dozen of other similar sites which you simply have not the time to also update. Flickr is our chosen photo hosting site but i think its also worth keeping Picasa, Google's equivalent, also up to date because... well its Google.
- Videos for the New Generation Arts and Design City festivals earlier in the year have been converted to the web and put on YouTube.
- Finally i have continued my investigation into calendar softwares, although there is an Events officer going to join the department at some stage there is no harm in exploring various online calendars.
